The Use of Golf Cart for Short Distance Ride and Transportation Is Increasing Rapidly
Golf Cart |
A golf cart is a small vehicle used to carry
golfers and their golf kits around a golf course with much less effort than
simply walking around a golf course. There are many different models of golf
carts, two golfers can seat in the most basic model and has enough room for a
drink and snack. These models run on either gasoline or battery power but many
owners prefer to use battery power for less hassle and longer range. The prices
of golf cart can range from a few hundred dollars to several thousand depending
on the model.
There are also styles of golf
carts, which can be mounted low to the ground or on a ladder rather
than on the ground. The open top style is like a large umbrella and can offer
great visibility in bright sunshine but can also offer bad visibility in low
light conditions due to having the roof exposed. The ladder style is a great
for allowing people to stand by the golf buggy to observe the game but does not
offer the same visibility that having the roof covered would provide. Other
models of golf carts are used to ferry passengers from the golf course to the
clubhouse or other meeting areas.
In addition to their traditional use, golf
carts are increasingly employed for marketing and promotional activities.
Various end-users are modifying golf carts, to attract a large number of
customers, to accommodate their advertising boards and banners. Moreover, the
use of golf cart is growing rapidly in, golf tourism, golf clubs, resorts,
railway stations, airports, housing projects, college campuses, military bases,
hospitals, and sports events. Golf carts provide safe, easy to drive,
inexpensive means of transportation, and ease of operation.
The high popularity of the golf sport has
resulted in a large number of golf courses worldwide. Germany is one of the
largest golfing nations in Europe. According to the German Golf Association,
there are 727 golf courses in the country serving more than 640,000 affiliated
golfers (2019). Moreover, according to the Mexican Golf Federation (Federación
Mexicana de Golf), Mexico now boasts nearly 200 golf courses and the number is
growing.
